Efteling Bosrijk Village

Efteling Bosrijk is situated among matured woodland and surrounds a lake. In the middle of this lake you will find the magical home of The Sandman which is beautifully lit up in the evenings with subtle colourful lighting. Step a little further towards the arches under the main Poorthuys building and there you will find the location for bedtime stories which are told by The Sandman and other Efteling fairytale characters most evenings. Just when you thought your little ones had experienced all the excitment that there is to offer, watching them wide-eyed and captivated by the fairytale characters coming to life is a memory to be treasured; all this with a backdrop of the sun setting on the lake.

Getting to Efteling theme park is easy from Bosrijk. On most days it is possible to take the mini train shuttle there and back. Alternatively, you can choose to take a short walk of just under 10 minutes along a winding woodland path. This is a wonderful way to explore the nature that this theme park and holiday park is set in. Look closely and you will spot the magnificant red and white toad stools that are all so familiar in fairytales, lining the edge of the path. As a guest of Efteling accommodation you have exclusive entrance to the theme park 30 minutes before the general public, where a selection of rides will be ready and waiting for you to enjoy. Staying at Bosrijk includes entrance to Efteling theme park on all days of your stay including arrival and departure days.

On the park you will find a little store with shopping essentials or snacks to take with you on your day out. There is also a restaurant where you may just get a surprise when one of your favourite Efteling fairytale characters turns up to say hello. There is a convenient children’s activity corner located next to the restaurant too. When the sun shines there is no better place to sit and soak up the sunshine than on the restaurant/bar terrace. This overlooks the lake and has a lovely little water play area next to it for children to explore. Of course you may opt to cook in your own accommodation, however, you can enjoy the comforts of your fabulous accommodation and also have a pizza delivered right to your door. Relaxing from all your adventures couldn’t be easier.

If you decide to take a break from the thrills of Efteling theme park then there is plenty to do on site, explore the nature and woodland that the park is set in, build a hut, visit one of the play areas or perhaps catch up on a bit of Efteling TV. Or maybe you fancy a nice relaxing swim in the Badhuys which includes a pool, small whirlpool and a toddler pool area too.
