Marvilla Parks Kaatsheuvel

Marvilla Parks Kaatsheuvel (formerly Het Genieten) with its brasserie and huge play area enjoys an amazing location in the middle of the spectacular Loonse en Drunense National Park, right next to sand dunes and less than a 10 minute drive from Efteling theme park.

A desert is one of the many things which you may not expect to find in the Netherlands! These vast sand drifts, known as the “Brabant Sahara” are the largest of their kind in western Europe and provide the perfect opportunity for walks, exploring and den making. Why not pack a picnic and venture up the steps directly next to the play area and take in the stunning views. With its vast sand plains, pine scented forests and heather you could be forgiven for forgetting you were in the Netherlands and not in south west France somewhere!

The large sandy play area with water play, zip wire, jumping pillow and play equipment suitable for different ages keeps little ones busy for hours. This is the heart of the park together with the cosy brasserie which has a beautiful, sunny terrace area, ideal for keeping an eye on the children as they play.

Marvilla Parks Kaatsheuvel also has mini golf, a sports field as well as an indoor soft play area for those cooler days.

This friendly, calm park provides an excellent base for visiting the local area, with the best of what this region has to offer right on the doorstep. Even if you are staying elsewhere we recommend a day trip here for lunch and a play or as we did, to break up the journey to Calais from other parks in the Netherlands.

There are some exciting plans for the future to further develop the park including a new pool and spray park for summer 2024. We will keep you posted as we learn more!
