A beautiful, sustainable holiday park on the water
Landal de Reeuwijkse Plassen enjoys a unique location in beautiful nature yet within very easy reach of Amsterdam, Utrecht, the Hague and Rotterdam. It is also only 7km from the historic cheese city of Gouda.
This is a relatively new park and first ever sustainably built holiday park in the Netherlands. Set in the “Green heart of Holland” Landal de Reeuwijkse Plassen sits on the edge of a large recreational lake. The attractive, sustainable residences are arranged on little waterways and many have their own jetties where you can moor your rented boat then use it to get around the park!
This is a park for young children and watersports lovers alike! Little ones will love playing in the sand and splashing about in the water on the recreational beach and in the nature island playground. The more daring amongst you can even try out the zip wire! There is an indoor soft play area with a slide and a rope swing and in the Dutch holidays children can take part in the Bollo club activity programme.
The high quality houses provide excellent self-catering options or you can enjoy a meal at the on-park restaurant, perhaps finished off with an ice cream from the ice cream parlour! There is also a restaurant and terrace by the lake, within walking distance of the park.
The countryside surrounding the park is typically Dutch with its waterways, windmills and grazing cows! And there is nothing better than packing up a picnic in the morning, hiring some bikes and setting off out for the day. This is a region rich with cycling and walking paths and there is plenty to explore without the need to drive.
If you are looking for a child friendly, fresh air holiday in a laid back park, with excellent accommodation, close to the main Dutch cities and with cheese and windmills at your fingertips, then you will love Landal de Reeuwijkse Plassen.
De Reeuwijkse Plassen offers a superb selection of high quality, spacious and sustainably built houses on the water including some 4 person extra luxury wellness residences which come with their own sauna!
There are houses for 2 people all the way up to 20 people!
Detached and semi detached houses available.
“Great kids friendly resort”
Had a 3 bedroom lodge, which is to a high standard, lots of room and well kitted out. The estate is great, with easy cycling, short walk to the lake, lots of amazing birdlife, a good indoor pool, indoor and outdoor play areas, and many activities with lovely, helpful staff. Would certainly use it again.crawford g
“Beautiful holiday park with 5 star accommodation”
We booked a 5 day short break at this park, and really wished it had been so much longer! The park is set on little waterways in a very central location for visiting lots of places in Holland. We were allocated a three bedroom detached property which has its own terrace straight on the waters edge. Our house had three double bedrooms, two toilets, one bathroom and an ensuite shower! Also included are a dishwasher, fridge freezer, coffee machine, a top quality cooker and hob, free wi-fi and 2 televisions!! It was wonderful to be greeted every morning by the ducks outside on the water. We have stayed at many, many self catering units over the past 30 years, and this was by far the very best one ever.Willandali

Children’s residences also have plug safety covers, child sized furniture, children’s cutlery and crockery, high chair, playpen, baby changing table and more.

It would be difficult to find a more centrally located park within such easy reach of the main cities:
Amsterdam is a 45 minute drive away
Rotterdam and its famous zoo are just 20 minutes away.
The Hague and its beaches are just a 30 minute drive away.
Efteling and Beekse Bergen are about an hour away and not to be missed just 35 minutes drive away are the UNESCO World Heritage windmills of Kinderdijk!
Closer to the park, just 7km away, is the cheese city of Gouda where you can visit the Cheese Experience and learn all about the famous cheese. Gouda is also famous for the “Stroopwafel” or the syrup waffle and a trip to Gouda wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the Syrup Waffle factory! Gouda is also home to the largest LEGO store in the Netherlands.
Just north of Gouda and a 10 minute drive from the park is the De Goudse Hofsteden children’s petting farm with play area. And just 5 minutes drive from this petting farm is the Monkeytown indoor play park.
