Dierenbos

Dierenbos is a wonderful holiday park for younger children, surrounded by beautiful woodland and with a focus on forest and farm animals. Located in the south of the Netherlands, just 15 minutes from the historic city of den Bosch, it is an ideal choice for families wanting a relaxed, nature-filled holiday with plenty to do. One of the first things that you notice is the calm, green surroundings. The park feels cosy and friendly and many areas are car-free, giving children the freedom to play, scoot and cycle safely. If you venture a little further, you come across the indoor pool and indoor play area. There is an instant warmth and welcoming vibe that runs throughout as children play and adults relax in the cosy seating areas enjoying a moment for themselves.

Dierenbos offers a wide range of family friendly accommodation, from comfortable holiday homes to the brand new luxury tree houses, complete with a hot tub and slide. They’re practical, spacious and close to the main facilities which is perfect when you’re juggling nap times, snack breaks and bedtime routines. There is also a selection of child-themed accommodations which have fenced areas around them providing extra safety.

Water lovers are especially well catered for. There’s an outdoor swimming pool that’s ideal on warm, summer days, where children can splash, play and cool off while parents relax nearby. The park also has a recreational lake with a sandy beach. It’s perfect for paddling, building sandcastles or simply enjoying a picnic by the water. For parents or grandparents who enjoy a quieter hobby, the fishing lakes offers a peaceful spot to unwind while still being close to the family fun.

When it comes to play, children are spoilt for choice. There are 15 playgrounds spread across the park, so there’s always somewhere close by to climb, slide and make new friends. The brand new indoor play area is modern and bright and adjacent to this you will find the indoor pool with slides and small toddler pool.

The park has family friendly places to eat, including a restaurant with children’s menus, a snack bar for quick bites, and takeaway options for those days where you want to keep things simple. Of course, you can also enjoy meals together back at your accommodation using your self-catering facilities.

If you would like to explore the local culture, then Den Bosch with its medieval centre, cobbled streets and pretty canals, is less than 20 minutes drive away. You should also try their famous Bossche Bol pastry which the area is known for! Whether you visit local towns, spend lazy days by the recreational lake or head out to nearby attractions, such as Efteling and Beekse Bergen, there is certainly plenty to do both on and off site when staying at Dierenbos.
