A waterfront park 5 mins from Toverland theme park
Landal Domein de Schatberg is located in the Peel area of North Limburg with De Grote Peel National Park a short drive away. Limburg is the most southern province in the Netherlands and borders both Germany and Belgium, meaning you could easily take in all three countries during your time here.
If you’re looking for an action-packed holiday, Domein de Schatberg will not disappoint! For the younger members of the family the lovable characters of Tommie Tomato and Lila Lavender provide a host of activities at their club. During the Dutch school holidays there is an extensive entertainments program with something for all ages. Even the big kids haven’t been forgotten as there are plenty of things to do from buggy rides through the woodlands to boot camp and paint balling.
It really is up to you to decide how much or little you choose to do as with this waterfront location you could be completely forgiven for just wanting to relax by your accommodation and take in the views with a glass of wine while your little ones play happily in their garden.
On Domein de Schatberg you can take a dip in the natural pool or dig and play on its sandy shore. Whizz down the slide in the outdoor pool on lovely sunny summer days or take a dip in the indoor pool with its heated toddler area complete with water toys, rapids and a slide open all year round. We love the mini harbour where children can play at manning their own themed ferry boat.
All this action is sure to get the tummy rumbling and with two restaurants and an onsite supermarket you may wish to enjoy a home cooked meal in your garden or to dine on the terrace of one of the restaurants as the sun goes down. The choice is yours! If you want to venture off site then you should really try a slice of traditional Limburgse vlaai. This tart type dessert filled with delicious fruit is made and devoured with pride in this part of the country.
Being so close to Belgium and Germany why not take a day trip across the border. A short 25 minute drive (30 km) and you will find yourself in Germany where you can take in the sights of Nettetal including its 11th century Krickenbeck castle and park.
A wide range of bungalows are available ranging from 2 to 13 bedrooms for larger families or families travelling together. Each accommodation type has its own outdoor space and lawn area with some being on the water and others set further back.
These detached bungalows vary from modern to traditional Dutch style houses each with their own character. You will find comfortable living areas complete with all home comforts and plenty of space to relax indoors and out.
Eurocamp also offers 3 bedroom Comfort and Premium Holiday Homes (sleeping up to 8) as well as 2 bedroom Safari Tents. We recommend Eurocamp’s newer range of Holiday Homes; the Premium. All Eurocamp Holiday Homes have their own wooden verandas and the rooms are all on one level making it super safe for little ones.
“Good Family Location”
Great location and facilities for families of all ages. Very good value for money and the houses were superb . Great base to visit Germany and to pop up to Amsterdam. On site food very good especially the bucket of fries at the take out. Loads to do for all ages and indoor bowling alley. So even in bad weather plenty to do.Naas

Just 20 mins away is a cool, quirky play park called Klein Zwitserland with several play areas, a brilliant mini golf, a paddling pool area with slide and tipping buckets and an extensive tree rope climbing area next door.
For an adventure play farm like one you’ve never seen before hop 35 mins over the border into Germany and go to Irrland. It is a huge play farm with more slides than we have seen anywhere, hay bales, a large paddling pool and even a “sweetcorn pool”, a huge indoor play room filled knee deep with dried sweetcorn!
Toverland is an attraction park with all the large rides and roller coasters you would come to expect (including Troy which reaches speeds of 90 kmh and is the fastest in the Netherlands). There is still plenty to do for the younger members of the family too and it’s just 3.5km away.
De Groote Peel National Park is 18.5km away with plenty of walking routes and cafes en-route. You can make a day of enjoying the natural beauty this national park has to offer and hopefully spot some of the bird species that this park is renowned for.
Amsterdam Schiphol airport is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes drive (170km).
Eindhoven Airport is 35 minutes away (50km).
