Award-winning family holiday park in Limburg!
Where to begin when introducing Park Molenheide? Noting that it was recently named ‘The Best Holiday Park in Belgium’ speaks volumes! It has so much to offer with the nature it is surrounded by and the fabulous days out that are available in the local area.
If you want a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life, quality family time and are looking for natural surroundings to help you relax, Park Molenheide is a bit of an overachiever in this area. It is set in more than an incredible 1,000,000m2 of nature. You can quite literally transport yourself to a tranquil green environment where you have woodland at your doorstep, walking paths, cycle routes and even deer that wander nearby. This green expanse of nature is a sight to be believed!
A good old dose of fresh air is always a plus, but we all know children will be wanting for more. The indoor playground is not only the largest in the Benelux but it offers a fabulous variety of equipment to choose from. When your child has got over 7000m2 to climb, slide on and explore, you could be here for some time. If you thought that was all, there’s even a children’s cinema, football court and go-karts to zoom around on. It’ s good to know that there is a great spot for adults to relax, have a drink or snack at Tom Herberg’s cafe and take away.
Once you’ve managed to tear yourselves away from the indoor play we’d encourage you to check out the indoor mini-golf course which is an innovative, award winning attraction. Also, the largest of its kind in Europe. ‘The Mine’ is a truly immersive experience, where sounds, sights, mechanisms and unexpected adventures await. Do you dare to explore The Mine and see what awaits you?
The fabulous Aquapolis is a swimming paradise for all the family. With no less than 4 pools, fun waterslides and a wonderful heated pool, with play equipment for younger guests. As part of this indoor pool area you will find a 25 metre pool which is perfect for getting some lengths in, or splash around to your hearts content and release your inner child in the sub-tropical pool, whilst zooming down one of the fabulous four slides. Beware of the gnomes as they may squirt water at you!
New to Park Molenheide is their family VR experience, which is completely unique to this park. Looking for something less digital, head to the pirate-themed bowling alley. Throughout the holiday park there are playgrounds to be found next to accommodations or in more central areas. For those who fancy some evening family entertainment, then why not take a spot in the audience for the park show which features a regional TV celebrity.
Worked up a bit of an appetite? There is a wide selection of places to choose from to eat out or get a takeaway. For example, The Tavern is a family restaurant that also caters for gluten-free guests. Here you will find an extensive and varied menu to suit all tastes. Cafe mange is a buffet style restaurant which has pizza, pasta, meat, fish and children’s menus. With such great accommodation we can imagine you may like a night or two catering for yourself and the park shop is perfect for picking up what you need.
This holiday park is a great option all year round as many of their facilities are indoors so rain or shine, you can make the most of what is on offer at Park Molenheide. There is a wide range of detached 2 to 4 bedroom accommodation available, sleeping between 4 to 10 persons. Some are single story whilst others spread over two floors. There are the original authentic bungalows ranging to the newer modern and luxurious accommodations.
You will also find wellness bungalows that feature saunas, private gardens and a massage chair.
The Kid’s Bungalow Kappa is designed specifically with young children in mind and includes a playroom.

‘Excellent Holiday Park’
The campsite is excellent. The staff are very helpful and welcoming and English was widely spoken. The accommodation was very clean when we arrived and you have your own parking space next to it. The accommodation is set amongst woodland and is not crowded as with some sites. There is a great swimming pool with 3 slides and 3 pools with different age groups in mind. The pool for toddlers is superb and there are great changing facilities. The indoor play area is amazing.

All bungalows have a high chair and cot. An extra cot or high chair can also be be added to your booking if needed.
A visit to the open air museum Bokrijk will transport you into the early 1900’s and life as it was in the past. Bokrijk is just 25 mins drive away.
Plopsa Indoor Hasselt is a great theme park which is perfect for younger children and is based on many of the famous Belgian children’s TV characters. (25 mins drive)
20 minutes drive will bring you to the pretty town of Hasselt where you can enjoy the shops, culture, architecture and sunny terraces.
Walibi Belgium is a theme park with all the thrills and rides you would expect. Perfect for a family day out and is about 1 hour away.
1 hour away in the centre of Antwerp you will find the oldest zoo in Belgium, ‘Antwerp Zoo.’ With well over 400 animals to see there is sure to be something for everyone in your family.
