Fresh air, toddler fun and family relaxation
Set in the heart of the stunning Veluwe, Landal Rabbit Hill is the perfect park to visit if you have babies and toddlers! Not only does it have rabbits running around as its name suggests, but it also has a little farm and facilities which have all been conceived with small children in mind.
The toddler friendly indoor pool area is heated and has a little slide and separate paddling pool with plenty of areas to splash about in! The wall between the terrace of the indoor café and the pool is all glass providing the perfect spot to put your feet up and enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee and read a book while the baby sleeps. The other parent can take your toddler to the pool and everyone can see each other. The snack bars are great as they have little steps up to the counters for toddlers and a separate lowered area for toddlers to serve themselves their own food. Good for fussy, independent eaters!
Still indoors, a large indoor play area with soft play, ball pools, ropes and slides can keep the little ones busy for hours. The play areas are split by age for 0-4 year olds and 5-12 year olds. Central to this area is a large seated area for parents where you can see your children which ever play section they are in and a refreshments counter serving snacks and drinks, here you will also find a large screen showing sporting events.
The outdoor play areas are varied and safe and have plenty for all ages. The outdoor terrace for the restaurants overlooks some of the play areas keeping your toddlers busy while you wait for your food to arrive. There is also a mini farm next to the playground! Once they tire of playing here, your toddlers can take advantage of the daily children’s entertainment and activities organised by the park and ‘Bollo the bear”, the park’s mascot. Set in stunning natural surroundings your little explorers can busy themselves to their hearts’ content on this park.
The on-park shop is well stocked and has a good selection of baby essentials such as nappies, wipes, formula, dummies, baby food and toys.
Cycling is big in Holland and no less at Rabbit Hill. The park rents out a selection of family bikes with toddler seats as well as individual bikes with baby seats.
If you decide to tear yourself away from all the fun on the park you will find there are lots of fun places to visit close by around the city of Apeldoorn and into the nature, either by car or bike.
Rabbit Hill offers a selection of 2 and 3 bedroomed bungalows; some are adjoining for families travelling together, but most are detached. All are spaciously set out in the woodland so your only neighbours are the birds, the rabbits and the red squirrels and there is plenty of space to play! Nearly all the accommodation on this holiday park is on one level and where it has stairs they supply stair gates. Large windows help you can make the most of being able to watch the wildlife and nature! Several little playgrounds are dotted between the bungalows too and some have toddler slides, swings and rocking animals. One even has some pretend binoculars so your little ones can play at being explorers!
