About Landgoed Volenbeek

Get back to nature in luxury glamping accommodation on this delightful farm

We can see why this Dutch Feather Down farm is so popular with baby and toddler families. A working dairy farm with a beautiful thatched farmhouse and acres and acres of rolling countryside, Landgoed Volenbeek is set in the middle of the Hoge Veluwe National Park with plenty of woodland to explore, yet it is within an hour of Amsterdam and Utrecht and within an easy of drive of some great toddler days out. This is a fresh air holiday with a difference where you get to switch down a notch or two whilst enjoying luxury accommodation and lots of exploration and discovery for the little ones!

The farm is owned and run by Wouter, Thea and their three children who will take the time to show you around the farm making sure you are comfortable and settled in your luxury glamping accommodation.

There is plenty of car-free space for little ones to run around, play and explore and they will love the little play area, the trampoline and also the cuddle barn where they can meet and stroke the rabbits and guinea pigs and look for fresh eggs from the chickens. Children can watch the cows being fed and milked. On this farm it is even possible for your toddler to rent their very own rabbit for their holiday where they will get to place the rabbit hutch next to your tent and look after it.

In order to create a cosy and exclusive feel, the select lodge tents enjoy a good amount of space and some lovely views. With wooden floors and wooden furniture, high quality mattresses and fluffy duvets you’d be forgiven for forgetting you were staying in a tent! Each lodge tent comes with a wood burning stove, oil lamps and candles (electricity isn’t needed here!).

Children will love helping to collect fire wood from the forest. The farm shop stocks some basics such as fresh local produce, milk, coffee and wine so you can self cater whilst taking in the fresh air and countryside. Wouter and Thea also organise pizza evenings on the farm which are a lot of fun.

Watch the sun rise over the meadow with a cup of hot coffee and take in the farm sounds and sights while your little ones let off steam. They will thrive being on the farm and living the simple life!

“Fabulous Boerenbed in Netherlands”

The farm couldn’t have been better. The boys immediately made friends and hung out at the trampoline, or the play area (swings, slide, seesaw and sandpit) played volleyball, football, badminton, played on the go-carts, talked to and cuddled the bunnies or explored the acres of woodland. We hardly saw them. I managed to read a book and a half which is something I’ve not managed to achieve on holiday for many many years.
