A water lover's paradise close to heaps of fabulous family attractions
Landal Waterparc Veluwemeer is located in an area of natural beauty with an enormous amount of places of interest to visit a short distance away. Amsterdam city which is brimming with culture, beautiful canals and shopping galore is a mere 45 minute drive. However you don’t need to venture that far to explore the nature and history of this country.
The Queen’s former residence Paleis Het Loo is situated close to the park and is a wonderful place to step back in time and stroll around its beautifully manicured gardens. The Hoge Veluwe National Park surrounds the local area and offers endless opportunities for walking and cycling whilst taking in the animals that inhabit the park and the beautiful flora which they live amongst.
You are only 10 minutes from the fortified town of Harderwijk with its historical fishing port, enticing boutiques, cafe terraces and Michelin starred restaurants. You can take a stroll along the promenade where you will find the popular Dolfinarium attraction which babies and toddlers will love.
Waterparc Veluwemeer embraces its woodland and waterfront location, making the most of what is naturally provided on its doorstep. Here you will find your accommodation is either located directly on the water or just a short walk away.
There are playground areas on the park with slides, sandpits, a trampoline and a giant wooden castle complete with rope bridges connecting it all together. The range of playground equipment means that there is something for all children regardless of their age or development. For those little rascals who never quite have enough of climbing and jumping around you will be delighted to know that there is an indoor play area too.
During Dutch school holidays there is a full entertainment programme available which is designed for all ages (adults included). Separate from this is The Bollo Club named after Landal’s cuddly mascot which provides a range of child friendly activities.
Being on a lake it is only natural that many of the activities revolve around water. In fact, there is a huge variety to choose from including, fishing, golf, tennis, surfing and sailing. For those of you who live a little more on the wild side why not give water skiing or a banana boat a try!! On sunny days you may just want to take a dip in the lake itself or you could opt for the outdoor pool instead. However, as the park is open all year round you will be glad to hear that there is a great indoor pool with toddler area and slide too. If that wasn’t enough you can rent your own boat directly from the park.
Should you fancy venturing off the park or further into the woodlands you may prefer to do it the Dutch way and rent a bike. The bike rental service on site is extensive, ranging from bikes, scooters to child carts and tandems. Perfect if you want to find your own tranquil spot on the water’s edge to enjoy a family picnic.
There is a well stocked mini market on site which is ideal for your self-catering needs and souvenirs. If you fancy putting your feet up and leaving the cooking to someone else for a change then you also have the choice of a snack bar and two restaurants. Restaurant BooFoor enjoys a view of the marina and has a wonderful sunny terrace while restaurant Zuid, Zoet,Zout offers an enviable panoramic view of the lake.
If you fancy eating off site then we love the Hansel and Gretel pancake house which is a short distance from the park and is a firm favourite with our families. There is so much to explore and enjoy here aside from eating delicious food that your children are likely to be entertained for hours. We can guarantee a few surprises will await your arrival. We shall say no more!
There is a choice of either apartments or villas which range from 2 to 11 bedrooms. There are varying differences in the style and specification of each and some have marina and lake views. Others even have saunas and jacuzzis on their terraces but all modern conveniences are provided in all accommodation types to ensure a comfortable home from home.

“Loved Every Minute”
I always love my stays at Landal, Loved the accommodation it was fabulous (in my option better than center parks) Always clean. For the first time in my life I used a Sauna that was in our home. This was a lovely quiet part of the Netherlands, I loved the fact we were right next to the water. The park was lovely and clean. Lots of different birds and other wildlife.

“Great Place for a Family Vacation”
Spent 10 days with the family in August. Had a great time. Well equipped villa with parking near the front door. Great park facilities, including supermarket, laundry and especially the pool with slides-great for kids. As the pool is open until 22:00 we could enjoy it even after coming back from long family trips all over the country. The location is fine for travelling everywhere. Also great value for money.
