Boats, nature and never-ending beaches
Holiday Suites Nieuwpoort is a new residence with a lovely quiet location set back from the bustling seaside resort of Nieuwpoort. A 5 minute drive or 10 minute bike ride takes you to some of the longest sandy beaches of the Belgian Coast and to the pretty resort of Nieuwpoort. This is an excellent base for exploring the Belgian Coast and its many resorts, all interconnected by the coastal tram which is just a short walk away. The medieval city of Bruges is only half an hour away and Plopsaland theme park is 15 minutes away (or 35 minutes on the coastal tram which takes you all the way there).
Famous for its fishing and sports Nieuwpoort has a real energy about it, from children whizzing down the seaside promenade on their bikes, to the many water sports which take part on this part of the coast. It is also home to the largest boating marina in North Europe and a stroll along the pier is brilliant for people and boat watching. When we went here, our toddlers enjoyed watching the fishermen and the big boats coming in!
You can have so much fun here playing on the huge beach, paddling in the sea, flying kites and hunting for crabs and shells. Rent one of the family Rosalie bikes, they’re so much fun! Or simply enjoy a stroll along the wooden boardwalk while stopping at a beach bar here and there for a cold Belgian beer or some fries and mayo! If you’re a seafood lover you’ll be able to sample some of the freshest fish there is, caught straight from the sea that day.
We love the retro, quirky feel of the Belgian Coast resorts. See if you can spot the stripy lighthouse in the middle of a roundabout!

You are just a few minutes drive from the Sunparks Oostduinkerke subtropical pool which welcomes day visitors.
You are only 18km from Plopsaland de Panne and Plopsaqua; the toddler friendly theme park and water park based on the famous Belgian Plopsa characters- the easiest way to get there is on the tram which takes you directly to the Plopsaland entrance.
