Landal Het Land van Bartje

Landal Het Land van Bartje is a fun-packed holiday park located in the middle of beautiful nature in the Drenthe region of the Netherlands. Just 40 mins from the lively, historical city of Groningen you are right next to a forest and the Hondsrug UNESCO nature reserve with its woodland and hills (an unusual sight in such a flat country!). This is a wonderful place for families to walk, cycle and even horse ride.

One of the highlights of this park is its pony ranch where children as young as 3 can learn to ride and babies and toddlers can enjoy stroking, petting and even sitting on a horse or pony. There are also organised horse and carriage trips into the forest which you can experience as a family.

Toddlers and older children will absolutely love all the different outdoor play areas here as well as the large indoor play area which is called Bartje’s farm. You’re never far from a playground! The large indoor sand pit with its slide, climbing equipment, toys and exploratory games is brilliant! There are two big outdoor play areas, one which looks onto the snack bar terrace which is handy for mealtimes and one with an air trampoline, mini golf and multi purpose sports field. There are baby swings and plenty for little ones to climb on and explore!

The heated indoor pool partly opens its roof in hot weather providing both indoor and outdoor swimming. There is a separate toddler area as well as family slides and water games.

This park is home to Bollo the Bear and has a full entertainment and activity programme for children of all ages. There is plenty of choice for eating and drinking too or you can choose to self cater. Top tip, make sure you book in for a massage-they come to your house!

As you would expect from Landal, a visit to Het Land van Bartje manages to combine fun, activity and nature while being within easy reach of lots of interesting towns, cities and attractions. A perfect combination!
