FarmCamps Oranjepolder

FarmCamps Oranjepolder can be found in Zeeland province, in the most southern part of the Netherlands. This is an area of immense natural beauty brimming with beaches, wildlife, large lakes and historical towns. Would you believe it, Oranjepolder was previously a royal estate!

Oranjepolder is a family run farm which focuses mainly on arable farming. Of course there are other animals who are residents to the farm which you can help care for if you so wish, such as rabbits, sheep etc.

There is a true feeling of relaxation on this farm. The luxurious, glamping tents are set in a large field with uninterrupted views of farmland and endless space to play. If you like to kick back, enjoy a slower pace of life and have time to read a novel in your hammock or, enjoy plenty of Al fresco dining, this is the farm for you. The beauty of a farm holiday is simply choosing how much, or how little you decide to do.

Children can roam to their hearts content in this safe environment and wander freely through the farm and its outbuildings. They are sure to meet lots of friends who they will make unforgettable memories with, as they explore the trampoline, numerous scooters, go-karts or bikes they can help themselves to. For those younger members of the family, digging away in the sand pile can provide hours of fun. There is a central playground and field to play football and if the weather isn’t on your side, there are games such as table tennis set up in the farm outbuilding.

You will find a small larder which is filled with farmers’ produce that you can purchase on site whilst a larger shop can be done in the nearby town. Part of the fun of staying at FarmCamps Oranjepolder is joining in with life on the farm or participating in one of the organised activities. Children can go for a ride on the tractor with the farmer, feed the animals, go metal detecting or bake a local delicacy. Keep your eye on the notice board for up to date information on activities during your stay.

Children receive a Farmer’s Passport on arrival which is filled with fun things to do and activities they can participate in during their holiday on the farm. They can get their passport stamped when they complete tasks and even earn their Farmer’s Diploma!

You might think that being on a farm with such peace and tranquility, that you are miles from civilization. However, the huge Veerse Meer lake which offers plenty of recreational water sports, is just 2km away. Middelburg is a wonderfully picturesque town just 10km away, with a pretty terraced square, plenty of shopping and beautiful Dutch architecture. This area of the Netherlands is well known for being able to spot seals basking on the sea shore, so keep your eyes peeled!
