A top child friendly park in magical Limburg
One of the many things we love about the Netherlands is that you can see so much of it in one visit. Well, if you travel down to Landal Hoog Vaals in the Limburg region you can be in 3 different countries at the same time! Hoog Vaals is located just 10 minutes by car (or walkable in under an hour) to the “Drielandenpunt” which is the meeting point of Holland, Belgium and Germany. We have visited here with young children and they loved the extensive play area, the crazy maze and the pancake restaurant! Drielandpunt is also the highest point in the Netherlands and has some spectacular views!
Hoog Vaals is a beautiful park packed full of activities, in a hilly part of the Netherlands! There are stunning views everywhere around the park. You can sit on your terrace of an evening enjoying one of the local beers while watching the sun go down over the countryside and rolling hills.
There is so much to do for children, from the indoor pool, toddler pool and 50 metre long slide to the huge sports area featuring tennis, football, table tennis and more. As you would expect from a quality Landal park children can enjoy an impressive indoor play paradise as well as numerous outdoor play areas and a jumping pillow trampoline. If that’s not enough there is also a landscaped mini golf, bowling, extensive bike hire, a petting farm and all year round children’s entertainment with the Bollo club.
After a busy day of play you can enjoy a hearty meal in the on park Brasserie which serves regional dishes and also has a gluten free menu and a children’s menu. There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance in nearby Vaals. If you fancy eating back at the ranch then order a takeaway or plan a meal from the well stocked park shop.
This park has relaxation and activity in massive doses, all set against a backdrop of beautiful scenery and just a short drive from the cities of Liege, Aachen and Maastricht. This is a region of castles and caves, the most famous being Valkenburg which, every winter, attracts tourists from far and wide to its winter market caves, the largest underground Christmas market in Europe.
Hoog Vaals offers a selection of mainly attached spacious bungalows sleeping from 4 up to 24 people.
These range from comfort, luxury to extra luxury. All bungalows have spacious indoor and outdoor areas with all mod cons. The extra luxury one comes with a sauna.
All come with cot and high chair, stair gate and electric socket covers.

“Great set up and good location”
A very beautiful park, spacious houses and gardens all around, a beautiful landscape with a small lake and many animals like swans, geese, pigs, sheep. The pool is also very beautiful and there are slides, a sauna, a baby bath. In the centre are the restaurant and the shop, of course, also the club with indoor playground and 6 bowling alleys. Close to the German border and Aachen, very comfortable drive to Maastricht.
We had a nice week with family, friends and our dog 😉
