Holiday Suites Blankenberge

This Holiday Suites apartment block in the popular seaside resort of Blankenberge is located right on the seafront. Blankenberge is a fun, family friendly resort close to the Dutch border on the Belgian Coast. Shops, restaurants, bars and cafes together with a bustling harbour give this resort a real energy and buzz.  Like many resorts on the coast Blankenberge has a quirky, retro feel and it takes you back to memories of childhood seaside holidays! Here, high rise apartments and beach huts line the coast and the pedestrianised boulevard is a safe place for little ones to try their hand at riding some of the many different bikes and carts available for rent.

One of the most famous landmarks here is the old pier which juts out into the sea. You can walk right to the end for some panoramic views, or simply to watch the boats.

What we love about the Belgian Coast, apart from the vast beaches and dunes, are the many beach bars with playgrounds where you can have a drink while the kids play in the sand on the inflatables and the swings and slides. Blankenberge has many of these.

There is plenty of activity to take part in here but it is also easy to find peace and calm and enjoy the beauty of nature. You can take a walk along the beach, through the dunes and catch one of the amazing sunsets you often see on the Belgian Coast. And Het Zwin nature reserve by the exclusive resort of Knokke Heist and close to the Dutch border is only 20 minutes away.

The beauty of this region is the ease of travel. If you don’t fancy using the car simply hop on the coastal tram (the longest tramline in the world) and explore some of the other beach resorts at your leisure, making it back in time for a last drink on the beach before the sun sets!
