Stay right on the beach in stylish, modern beach houses!
Introducing Landal Zeezigt! This is an exciting new addition to our collection and something a bit different. Imagine falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves breaking and letting the children run straight out on to the sandy beach. This is exactly the experience at Landal Zeedigt. Here, it’s all about slowing down, breathing in the sea air, hunting for shells and enjoying the unspoilt nature where you might see a rabbit hopping in the dunes or a seal basking on the shore.
These beautiful, modern beach houses for up to 4 people are located right on the beach and are just a 10-15 minute walk from the pretty coastal town of Petten aan Zee where you can pick up fresh bread in the morning, grab an ice-cream or enjoy a family-friendly place to eat. Amsterdam is under an hour away.
You can explore the area on bike, with cycle paths on the doorstep, through the dunes and nearby towns and villages (bike rental is available in Petten). If you visit in April you will be treated to the brightly coloured bulb fields in bloom close to the dunes. This is a lesser-known area for tulips but just as spectacular.
For an easy meal or sunset drink, the cosy beach pavilion, Zee and Zo is just a short walk away with lovely views over the sea.
Landal Zeezigt is small scale and wonderfully low-key; perfect as a standalone holiday or to combine with another of our featured places to stay for a really unique experience.
A little note for families: these beach houses don’t have stairgates at the top of the steps and the steps are quite open, so they may not be the easiest option for families with very young children or toddlers. But for families with school age children, or those looking for something a bit different, this unique seaside setting feels like one big natural playground and is incredibly special.
Please note: the park is closed in the winter.
The sustainably built, wooden beach houses are all detached and all single storey with unobstructed views of the beach and sea. They have outdoor furniture, modern interiors, dishwashers, fridge freezers and combi microwaves for cooking. The houses sleep up to 4 people and have 2 bedrooms and 1 or 2 bathrooms, depending on the model. All the houses have free wifi and flat screen TV.
The 4SH3 model comes with a partially covered terrace and an outside hot shower (in addition to the inside one).

This is a brilliant area for families who love the outdoors, with endless opportunities for cycling and walking, and enjoying the sand dunes and pretty towns. Just 2km away you will find the famous “climbing dune” in Schoorl; a huge, 51 metre high sand dune is paradise for children to run, climb and play. Afterwards you can enjoy a well earned drink or ice-cream at one of the cafes at the bottom of the dune.
10 minutes further north is the beautiful Het Zwanewater nature reserve with its heathlands and forests as well as the lively seaside resort of Callantsoog (10 km).
For a spot of culture and shopping, the historic city of Alkmaar, famous for its lively shopping scene and cheese market, is just 25 mins away (20km).
