A small friendly park just 30 minutes from Utrecht centre
Landal Amerongse Berg is a small, quiet and fairly new park with direct access to the Heuvelrug National Park and with a really central location slap bang in the middle of Holland! One of the things we love about the Netherlands is that it’s a small country and therefore easy to see and experience a lot of different places in one holiday. This is certainly the case if you stay at Amerongse Berg. On the one hand you are in the middle of beautiful nature; the Heuvelrug has landscapes of forests, rivers and sand dunes. On the other hand you are just 30 minutes from the centre of Utrecht, a little over an hour from Amsterdam and 15 minutes walk from the local train station of Veenendaal-West. Amerongse Berg is also under 30 minutes from the attractions of the Hoge Veluwe National Park and close to castles and pretty villages.
With a lake and woodland setting this is a very relaxing and peaceful park but with lots to keep children occupied. The indoor pool has a separate paddling pool with water jets and toys and there is also a steam room for the grown ups! As with most Landal parks there is a fantastic indoor and outdoor play area including a jumping pillow. For the more active there is also a zip wire, a 12 hole adventure golf course and a sports pitch. There is a good selection of bike hire including mountain biking as, whilst Holland is generally flat, this area does have a few hills!
You can access walking routes directly from the park including the Kabouterpad or gnome trail which is designed for young children to walk along and discover gnomes along the way! Gnomes live in the forests in Holland and these trails are designed for little ones to find them!
Accommodation is modern and spacious and attractively set out in the woodland. In the morning you can order freshly baked bread from the park reception. For the evening there is a good selection of bars and restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away, some of which also do take away deliveries to the park. This is a perfect base for families with young children who want to smell the fresh air of the woodlands whilst being close to lots of days out.
Choose from a selection of modern detached bungalows sleeping from 4 to 12 people (from 2 to 6 bedrooms). These range from comfort, luxury to extra luxury. All bungalows have spacious indoor and outdoor areas and all mod cons. The extra luxury ones come with a sauna, steam room or jacuzzi.
All come with cot and high chair and some have a play pen.

“Quality accommodation in a nice setting”
Smaller than most other Landal parks but with good facilities and modern quality bungalows. Plenty of walking and cycling options nearby. Well maintained indoor pool, 10 minute walk to local shopping area and train station, which makes for easy access to the main cities for a change of scene. Will visit again.

The lively, historic city of Utrecht is just 30 minutes away. Utrecht is a beautiful city to visit for its canals and child friendly restaurants with waterside terraces. One of the main attractions of Utrecht for families with young children is the interactive Miffy or Nijntje Museum which is a fun day out in itself.
