Five-star holiday park De Twee Bruggen will be enlarging its swimming facilities for 2026 with a brand new swimming “pond” which is currently under construction next to the existing pool complex. This beautiful new area will feature a natural swimming area, with naturally purified water, created to blend in perfectly with nature and will provide an oasis of calm for relaxation and wellness. It will perfectly complement the existing pool area which comprises indoor and outdoor pools, children’s pools, waterslides and spray equipment. And given the attention to detail across the rest of the park we are sure that this new area will be beautifully landscaped with flowers, plants and thoughtful design touches.

The new swimming pond is the latest step in the park’s investment plan which in 2025 included the opening of the Italian restaurant; Bistro Bij Rijck, the new bowling lanes as well as new camping pitches with luxury private sanitation blocks complete with saunas, rain shower, toilet and sink.

We have stayed at De Twee Bruggen a few times in recent years and always appreciate the high standards and wide range of facilities and activities for all ages. There is a really authentic feel about it, from the moment you drive past the windmill on the approach to the park and past the cows grazing in the fields on the other side of the road. After parking up by the entrance you’re met with extremely friendly staff, a stylishly clad reception building and pretty flowers and plants bordering the roads and paths through the park.

De Twee Bruggen has something for all ages. There are small playgrounds everywhere including a large play area with zip wire, air trampoline and water and sand exploration area. This is easily visible from the bar terrace. The activities and facilities include organised runs and football tournaments, bowling, a pump track, an airconditioned gym (great for running on sunny days!) and beautiful cycle routes on the doorstep.
There are large, grassy camping pitches, lodge tents, modern chalets, mobile homes and spacious bungalows towards the back of the park closer to the local town. As you can arrive and depart on any day here it makes it easy to combine a stay with other places as part of a multi-centre holiday.

We love the quaint medieval “Book Town” of Bredevoort, which is just 30 minutes walk from the park along the river Slinge. Bredevoort has lots of small bookshops dotted along the historic streets and a main square which is often home to live music in the summer. The local town of Winterswijk has a great market and cheese shop, and 15 minutes’ drive from the park there is a vineyard where you can do wine tasting. For those coming with their own camping equipment they’ll be excited to discover the largest camping shop in the world, Obelink, just down the road!

The Achterhoek region certainly has a lot to offer and has now been given a further boost with the opening of a brand new indoor theme park, Bommelwereld, in October 2025, at Groenlo, just 25 minute’s drive from De Twee Bruggen. The new theme park, inspired by 2 comic-book characters, Oliver Bommel and Tom Puss, has 20 attractions for all ages including a flume ride and a rollercoaster. They plan to add more attractions in the future.

De Twee Bruggen is a truly special holiday park with very high standards, great as a standalone holiday or to combine with another park in our collection. Please feel free to contact us for any more info or prices or see our link below to book.
