For families who love outdoor adventures, the nearby forest offers walking and cycling trails that start right from the farm. It’s the perfect way to spend time together and discover the natural beauty of the area. You will even find lovely, secluded, sandy bays, perfect for a little picnic and a paddle. If you enjoy a spot of Supping you can rent a board from the farm and take it with you as you go exploring!

Step back in time in the historic museum village of Orvelte, where Dutch traditions are brought to life with crafts, old farms, and authentic cafes and bakeries. Visit Assen, the capital of Drenthe, for shopping, cafés, and the Drents Museum, known for its fascinating archaeological finds. In Emmen, the whole family will love WILDLANDS Adventure Zoo, where you can explore jungle, savannah, and polar worlds all in one day. For active families, DX Adventure park offers water-based thrills like obstacle courses, and don’t miss the region’s most famous landmarks, the Hunebedden that offer a unique glimpse into prehistoric life.
