Review: Landal de Lommerbergen, Loving Limburg!

The Ashley family sent us this review of their stay at Landal de Lommerbergen over May half term. It looks like they had a fantastic time and got to visit the brilliant Irrland attraction park just over the border in Germany, a brilliant day out! They said:

“We’re just returning from another trip thanks to Little Clogs and wanted to rave about how good Landal De Lommerbergen is. We booked it on a whim, as there weren’t many reviews, but it was too good a deal to miss!

We took our 7 and 8-year-olds and stayed in a 4-person bungalow. It was basic but had everything we needed. The site has an amazing soft play area, an even better outdoor play area, a huge air trampoline, and a swimming paradise. It rained a lot this week, but there’s so much to do indoors that it didn’t affect the holiday!

The main downside was the lack of evening entertainment, so bring your own!  The supermarket on site is really well-priced—the best I’ve found in a resort shop. There’s also a Lidl 10 minutes away. The bungalow only has a microwave, so bear this in mind for meals. The on-site restaurants weren’t great, but there are plenty of local options.

We used the local ‘ferry’ across the river to get to a Chinese buffet restaurant, which was a unique experience! It took minutes and ran back and forth constantly all day.  We visited Irrland one afternoon in Germany, only 45 minutes away and well worth a visit. It’s a themed play park with the biggest slides I’ve ever seen. Tip: bring swimwear for some of the slides!  The German border is only 6 km away from the site, and there’s a great little cafe there called Boscafe De Grens. Our kids loved walking across the border until we got the “Welcome to Germany” message.

We’ve had many great trips that Little Clogs have helped us plan and we’ll be back next year for another fantastic holiday! Hof van Saksen is next on our radar! We have fallen in love with The Netherlands and Belgium over the past few years and have even looked into the possibility of emigrating! Thanks, Team Little Clogs.”
