The Dunne family left us this review of their stay at Hof van Saksen. They visited in August with 4 children aged from 1.5 to 15. They were impressed with the breadth of facilities and activites on offer for all ages. They said:
“Hof van Saksen was amazing! Due to the different ages of our children (almost 15, almost 13, 6 and 1.5!), we often struggle to find places that have something for them all but this did! We didn’t have the greatest weather but it didn’t make any difference as there is so much to do. Everyone loved the pools and the slides. The soft play was a hit with the three younger ones and the three older ones loved the chance to go paddle boarding and canoeing. We ate at all the restaurants on site and were impressed by the choice and quality. Our eldest is pretty fussy so the Al Fresco self service restaurant was the top choice and the puddings there kept everyone very happy!! Pancakes were a big hit here and in Amsterdam, where we stopped in our drive over!
Our accommodation was great – it was bigger than we expected from the photos and clean. We loved the outside space and how quiet and peaceful it was. We were so impressed by the peacefulness and even in rainy weather how nowhere inside seemed that busy. The pools and the soft play were also spotlessly clean and the cafes everywhere was a big plus.
We also ventured into nearby Assen and Rolde and ate out and really enjoyed the Drents Museum in Assen.
Overall we had a great time and would definitely consider going again!
