Review: Beekse Bergen, We’re Not Sure Anywhere Will Beat It!

The Kittle family booked a stay at Beekse Bergen Safari Resort after reading about it on our website. They contacted us for advice about which lodge to book and were very happy with their choice! They left us this review:

“We spent a week at Beekse Bergen in Savannah Lodge 413 as a family of four, with a 3 and 6 year old, and couldn’t recommend it more. The lodge looks straight out over giraffes, rhinos and zebras – genuinely stunning at sunrise and dusk, and a joy to watch throughout the day. The location was brilliant too –  just 2 min walk from the centre of the safari resort, yet wonderfully quiet.

The lodge’s nearest parking area was right outside the back, which made packing the car, supermarket runs and heading off to the lake or the zoo really easy.

Food-wise, we did most of our shopping at the Jumbo supermarket, which had an amazing selection. Lunches were usually on the go –  the Pancake House in the safari park was fantastic, and we also loved eating in nearby Hilvarenbeek, lunch spots were excellent and the kids loved the old windmill.

Activities were a real highlight: ranger activities, play parks, the early-morning ranger walk, and the game drive, where we had giraffes licking the truck! We did have one rather rainy day, but the huge soft play area at the lake resort and the bowling at the safari resort meant it didn’t interrupt the fun at all. The onsite lake resort was brilliant too, and the swimming pools were fantastic.

Cleanliness across the whole resort was superb, and the evening entertainment, including the bongo drumming, was great fun for the family. We also did the discounted high ropes course (offsite) which was a hit!

Little Clogs were fantastic from start to finish. They helped us pick exactly the right lodge for our needs during the booking process, were brilliant at answering all our questions in the run-up to the stay and made the whole trip a joy from booking to departure — we’re already talking to Laura and Jane about next summer!

Beekse Bergen has set the bar so high for family trips, and we’re not sure anywhere else will beat it!”
