Review: Beekse Bergen – The Most Amazing Family Holiday We’ve Ever Had

Thanks so much to the Coles family for their review of Beekse Bergen and for sharing their stunning photos! They stayed in a Forest Cabin on the Lake Resort and made the most of the views of the animals on the Safari Resort too, as well as all of the facilities on site. They even managed to squeeze in some day trips. They said:

“We had the most amazing family holiday that we’ve ever had. Nobody wanted to come home and my son (7y) cried when it was time to leave.

The forest cabin on the lake resort was the perfect accommodation for us. We loved the green spaces, lakeside beach and easy access to canoe and bike rentals. We walked around the safari resort a couple of times and loved seeing the animals so close to the accommodation but did not regret our decision to stay at the lake. We had time to try all of the activities including swimming at both indoor pools, bowling and the outdoor and indoor play areas at Speelland.

We enjoyed a half day out to the Klimrijk climbing forest for my daughter’s 5th birthday. It was such good value for money due to the 50% discount from the Beekse Bergen attraction pass. We would go again if making a return holiday to BB.

The post on the Little Clogs FB group about restaurants on routes to the ferry ports helped us find a delicious pancake house for our last dinner. The kids adored their final visit to a Dutch playground. I think they will be quite bored the next time we go out for dinner in the UK.

My husband (who normally dislikes holidays) is already talking about a return visit to Winter Efteling and the kids are excited to go back to Holland next summer. My only problem is deciding whether to do the same stay at BB or try another recommendation from the Little Clogs collection.

Thank you for your help with planning the trip and especially for the reassurance about the forest cabins at Lake Resort BB. We loved our cabin and the covered decking area allowed us to eat outside for every meal.”
