Thank you to the Bourner family for leaving us this fab review of their Beekse Bergen holiday. It certainly sounds like their 3 and 7 year old boys had a whale of a time and that mummy and daddy got to relax too!
“We had a family holiday to the Netherlands in August 2022. Little Clogs were fantastic from the first time I contacted them. Laura was able to suggest places that would suit us that I hadn’t even considered and she was always quick to respond to any queries I had.
We stayed at the Beekse Bergen Lake Resort which had recently been renovated and it was fantastic. Our cabin was clean and comfortable, there was a little land train to take you around the site and everyone was very friendly. The beach area was great for the kids to play and the indoor pool was brilliant with a kids splash area and a slide. Having access to the safari park and Speelland was the icing on the cake! We did a day trip to Efteling which was completely magical and I would 100% recommend, my only regret is that we didn’t go for a second day!
We drove from the UK and got the ferry to Dunkirk, stopping in Belgium for lunch each way. I was dreading the car trip with two kids but it was honestly very straightforward and Ghent is a lovely place to stop for a break and a waffle!
We honestly think it is one of the best holidays we have had with kids. The boys loved it and although there was loads to do it also felt relaxing. We are already talking about doing it again but maybe somewhere different next time, and I will definitely be contacting Little Clogs when we do.
