Review: Beekse Bergen – It Couldn’t Have Been More Magical

The Johnson family have left us this lovely review of their Easter holiday at Beekse Bergen. They stayed in a Savannah Lodge on the Safari Resort and got up really close to the animals. They said:

“Beekse Bergen absolutely blew us away – we went on an African safari when we got married nearly 10 years ago and I’ve been desperate to go back but with 2 young kids (7 and 3) it wasn’t going to be happening any time soon… enter Beekse Bergen… WHAT A PLACE!

Beautiful accommodation looking out over the ‘Serengeti’ with giraffes, zebras, camels & rhinos walking past the massive window of our accommodation – it really did feel like I was back there – able to walk around outside the accommodation with them… and then hop on my bike round the corner multiple times a day to see the lions was an absolutely phenomenal experience for me (SO CLOSE TO THEM!! Like seriously it was a little unnerving at times how close these lions were) and hearing them roaring through the night… wow absolutely blown away. Couldn’t have asked for more! The kids loved it all too ‘mummy the giraffes are awake’ which made it even more magical!

The kids pools were perfect for us (used the safari and lake one). It was a little busy over the Easter weekend when the Dutch families arrived!

Loved hiring bikes and hopping between places so easily – so nice and flat everywhere – completely designed for bikes! Great recommendations from Little Clogs on nearby places to cycle to gave us the confidence to do this! Also great tips on where to get food locally!My only complaint was there was no freezer which we only realised after we bought a few frozen pizzas from the shop.

Channel tunnel was very straightforward as was the drive to the Netherlands as Little Clogs had said!

Would 100% recommend Little Clogs (and already have to everyone who messaged in response to the stories I posted!) as they gave me so many helpful bits of advice and didn’t ask for a penny (which is mad). It’s clear how much they know and love the places they recommend! Really friendly and super responsive… we’ll be back asking you lots of questions very soon when we book next years trip and thanks again as we all really needed this holiday and it couldn’t have been more magical.”
