Review: Beekse Bergen and Landal Kaatsheuvel

The Dickson family left us this review of their holiday at Beekse Bergen and Landal Kaatsheuvel, close to the Loonse en Drunense sand dunes and Efteling. Being used to holidays on the Med they have been converted to Holland and how child friendly everything is! They told us:

“Thank you so much to Laura and Jane at Little Clogs for helping us book a fabulous holiday this summer.

We started with one night in the Beekse Bergen Safari Hotel which was just amazing. The rooms were one of the nicest rooms I’ve ever stayed in with novelty factor of our balcony overlooking giraffes and zebras in their pasture. The other facilities there were also fantastic and my son especially enjoyed the swimming pool and water slide which were also on site.

We then moved on for 5 nights at Landal Kaatsheuvel in one of their child friendly lodges – again lovely accommodation and perfectly situated for day trips to Efteling and a fabulous Dinosaur park we found recommended. There was a small but perfectly adequate sized swimming pool on site too which we found ourselves in at least twice a day thanks to our 4 year old son and his newly found confidence for the water.

We also tried out the Dutch way of living and hired bikes and went on some lovely long bike rides through the sand dunes.

Overall it was a lovely holiday and so so child friendly which is exactly what we wanted. Plus as someone who felt strongly they’d never give up Greece as a summer holiday destination I am fully converted to trying other locations In Belgium and the Netherlands…”
