Thank you so much Little Clogs for recommending the Beekse Bergen Safari Resort! We’ve just got back from a fabulous stay and loved every minute! We were a group of nine between the ages of 9 and 71 and stayed in one of their brilliant group lodges (which sleep up to 14), complete with sauna and overlooking the zebras, giraffes and camels!
What a unique experience…so much to do at the resort…see the lions being fed, a fab pool/water play area, indoor & outdoor playground, bowling and daily programme of ‘ranger activities’. Then of course there’s the actual safari park which you can explore on foot or by car, boat or bus! There’s also a separate adjoining park called Speelland with water slides, loads of mini rides, mini golf, beach, pedalos etc. This is all included in the price, as you’re given an ‘attractions pass’ for free entry throughout your stay. The pass actually gives free entry to 7 different attractions in total and we also used our pass to get into the Aviodrome aviation museum (near Amsterdam) which again had loads to keep little ones (and bigger ones!) entertained.
Again, thanks to your recommendation, we spent a day at the nearby (20-30 mins by car) theme park Efteling which was SO much fun!! Loads of rides for pre-schoolers but also big (and scary!) rollercoasters for older ones like my two (9 & 12).
We wouldn’t have really thought about Holland for a family holiday, but can’t wait to go back and we’re already planning our next trip…which we’ll definitely be booking through Little Clogs!! 😊
