A Safari Experience for Little Explorers!

Beekse Bergen holiday park in Holland is extremely popular due to its fantastic facilities, its lake beach and woodland setting, its close proximity to Efteling fairytale theme park, and the fact it has its own safari park! The safari park is the largest in the Benelux and we love the fact that you can choose to either walk round, drive round or get the park bus. Guests staying in holiday park accommodation can even arrive there by boat. Holiday park guests have unlimited free entry to the safari park and that has always been one of the things which makes this park unique! Well, Beekse Bergen has gone a step further now with the opening of the luxurious  Beekse Bergen Safari Resort in the grounds of the safari park. The safari park resort opened its doors in April 2018 and boasts a brand new range of facilities and accommodation.

The resort comprises luxury safari lodges, treehouses and safari tents, an indoor pool called Maji Springs, complete with a water playground for young children which has jets and toys, and an African themed lounge bar and restaurant which has a terrace overlooking the Serengeti savannah. The central area, Karibu town, has an area with toys and games dedicated to little ones as well as a fantastic outdoor play area. Children’s activities are organised by the park rangers at the basecamp which is just next to the playground.

What is really cool is that the lodges look out directly onto the animals so you can eat your breakfast while watching the giraffes or the zebras! Ostriches might run past your bedroom window! There is also a lion area with lodges close by. Whilst it’s highly unlikely you would have your alarm set on holiday it might be the case that the roar of a lion is the first thing you hear upon waking! You are guaranteed a view, whichever accommodation you stay in, and you can request a preference to be by the lion plain or bordering one of the savannahs.

The lodges are all African themed and have been built to a high specification throughout. They are spacious and detached with 2 bathrooms and a choice of 3 or 4 bedrooms. The lodges have a rain shower and a bath in the bathroom and a sauna. There may even be a surprise in the lodge for your little explorers when you arrive. There are also kids’ lodges for an extra special experience, which have toys and games, a children’s elephant shower and a toddler play cart. For larger families or groups there are lodges sleeping up to 14 people. They all have free wifi. unlimited free access to the safari park (you can’t get much closer to it than here!), to the mega play zone called Speelland on the main holiday park, as well as to a number of other attractions including zoos and swimming pools in the local area. What is also handy is that there are no keys, you just get an entry code sent to you before arrival so you can go straight to your accommodation.

If you book a lodge in the safari resort you have access to all the facilities on the main holiday park too including the swimming pool and the lake beach. Beekse Bergen holiday park is a unique experience but if you want something even more special with guaranteed luxury and adventure, and without having to travel all the way to Africa, then book a stay at the safari resort!
