Thanks so much to the Kirby family for their review of Landal Marina Resort Well. They were looking for somewhere within easy reach of Irrland and Toverland, and with plenty of activities for older children. It sounds like they had a brilliant time! They said:
“Little Clogs really helped us narrow down where to stay this summer, and we settled for Landal Marina Resort Well – a great decision!
We had an absolute blast and were blown away by the accommodation.
Looking at reviews online beforehand I was a little apprehensive, however these reviews do not relate to the Landal part of the park, but the Vakantiepark which shares some of the facilities.
The Landal lodges are all set around a small lake (which links up to the larger lake where the restaurant, pool etc can be found) and are in a much quieter location. Lodges are all well spaced out with lovely well kept greenery/gardens around them.
We opted for a waterfront lodge for our stay at Marina Resort Well and to put it simply, it was fantastic.
We had taken paddleboards with us and having our own jetty at the lodge to launch them from was brilliant. Ideal for a pre breakfast or a sunset paddle around the lake, and so easy to just get into the water for a swim and a cool down (which was definitely needed given the temperatures when we were there!).
The lodge had 3 bedrooms and was very spacious, well laid out, very well equipped, clean and modern. Despite the temperatures outside, the air conditioning kept us wonderfully cool at night.
The aspect of the lodge (109) meant that we had shade on our (huge) deck/balcony for most of the day and there was a lovely small breeze from being slightly higher than the lake, which kept us cool.
The deck had wonderful views of the lake and we could supervise our kids (10 & 14) safely from this short distance when they were playing in the water.
We took day trips to Irrland, Toverland and Phantasialand which we enjoyed just as much as the kids, and the rest of our time was spent at the park, or local to the park.
Onsite there is a great outdoor pool with splash park and a couple of slides, a pump track, basketball/football court and some great play parks for the kids.
The highlight for the kids was the inflatable aqua park which they used a few times throughout our stay.
We also used the restaurant for a lovely meal, and the takeaway snack bar and onsite, well stocked Spar a few times.
We hired bikes and cycled into the local town to get supplies, around Reindeersmeer (the reservoir which is connected to the lake at the park), and also made use of the great Dutch cycleways and ventured to the Hertog Jan brewery for some beer tasting and a lunch which involved a river crossing on a small ferry – great fun.
I would not hesitate to recommend Marina Resort Well and for us, the lakeside location and the lodge itself will take some beating next year. We might just have to go back!”
